Aman Island (Pulau Aman) is a small island in Penang, Malaysia. Famously known as the 'sland of Peace', it is a home to a traditional Malay village.
 
 

Sprawling across an island with an area of 288 acres, it is situated 2.5 nautical miles off the coast of Seberang Perai's southern district. Aman Island in Penang is a haven of tranquility. With Bukit Tambun as its nearest town, Aman Island in Penang is an ideal fishing village. The island is home to a population of three hundred people comprising of elderly people and cheerful children.

There are many interesting places to visit in Pulau Aman such as Jalan Telaga Emas, Batu Perompak, Gua Lanun and the nearby island of Pulau Gedung. Batu Perompak means Pirates rock. From the ancient days the pirates pillaged the waters around the island. Gua Lanun means pirates cave and. This is a major haunt for the pirates, where they amassed their spoils.
 
 

An idyllic fishing village with a population of only three hundred, the majority of people on Pulau Aman are elderly folks and laughing, carefree children. Life on Pulau Aman is simple and traditional with man and nature of co-existing in harmony with one other. Here the warmth of the sun is only rivaled by the warm friendliness of the locals.
